NICHOLAS NICHOLAIDIS

TENOR

Nicholas Nicolaidis is an accomplished and versatile soloist, chorister, conductor, and vocal pedagogue.

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Nicholas began his vocal studies at the world famous Drakensberg Boy’s Choir School and completed a Bachelor of Music Degree (Voice) from the University of the Witwatersrand, and post graduate singing studies with professors from the Royal College of Music in London, England, and post graduate conducting studies at the University of Stellenbosch.

He has a wide vocal repertoire, but specialises in oratorio, lieder, and the jazz standards.

As a soloist, Nicholas has performed for The Elora Singers, Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, Pax Christie Chorale, Grand Philharmonic Choir, Spiritus, and with the Trinity Bach Project. He teaches voice at St. Michael's Choir School, Toronto, as well as running his own teaching studio. He is delighted to be singing tenor again with the Elora Singers for his third outing.

Nicholas enjoys good food, gracious company, playing tennis and walking or biking the trails in and around southern Ontario.

FUN FACTS

Nicholas is a keen ornithologist and an avid tennis player!
