Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Annual Giant Book Sale was cancelled. Unfortunately, with Covid-19 still a threat, volunteers will not be able to host the May 2021 sale. Under normal circumstances, we accept donations year round, and from September to May, loyal volunteers meet weekly to sort, clean, and price materials for the sale on the first weekend in May.
We are unable to accept donations at the Book Depot in Fergus at this time, but our volunteers look forward to returning to work when it is safe to do so.
We thank the many enthusiastic community partners and volunteers who pitch in at the sale to support The Elora Singers and Festival. We also appreciate the donation of thousands of books from the community and thank those who purchase them at the sale.
When our current inventory of books, CDs/DVDs, and music is augmented with future donations, we anticipate a bigger-than-ever sale in May 2022. We look forward to welcoming all loyal book lovers to browse through 60,000 adult and children’s books in 30+ categories, such as Art, Nature, Cooking, Religion, Politics, Self-Help, Old Favourites, and Travel. There is something for everyone!
